AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTIONS 21-43-101 THROUGH 21-43-133, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH CREATE THE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Sections 21-43-101 through 21-43-133, Mississippi Code of 1972, which create the "Business Improvement Districts Act," are repealed.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
